The "World Quality Day" has been part of the agenda for companies worldwide for 35 years, but it was only 4 years ago that the event gained a new dimension, becoming the "World Quality Week," adopting cross-cutting themes and proposals for greater reflection and engagement within organizations.
The date originated in Japan, back in the 1960s, when the first event dedicated to promoting quality in industry and business was established by the "Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers." In 1990, the second Thursday of November was chosen by the United Nations (UN) as the global date for quality to promote awareness and encourage the continuous improvement of processes, products, and services.
The "World Quality Week" is, therefore, an invitation to reflection and action, based on the proposition of adopting themes that broaden organizational engagement and the participation of all involved sectors. It is a time to acknowledge quality as everyone's responsibility, and that the commitment to high standards of excellence must be present in every stage of work, from planning to customer service.
Think Differently
The 2025 theme led the organizing teams for the "World Quality Week" at the Belov Group to promote actions aimed at disseminating best practices, valuing team commitment, and strengthening the culture of quality in the daily routine. The activities are being distributed into interactive discussions, challenges, and the sharing of special materials on the theme.
