The Belov Group was recognized for its contribution to training the first 50 IMCA Supervisors in Brazil. The announcement was made during the 27th edition of the Diving Safety Forum, hosted by Petrobras, the country's largest player — and one of the largest in the world — in the oil and gas sector.
Currently, the Belov Group has 37 IMCA Supervisors on its staff, a number that reflects the company's continuous investment in technical training, operational standardization, and the adoption of international best practices in the professional diving segment.
This recognition gains additional relevance in light of the results achieved by Brazil in the IMCA qualification process. While the global average pass rate is approximately 46%, the Brazilian rate exceeded 90% — a level that highlights the high standard of preparation, dedication, and commitment of the professionals involved.
The Belov Group was represented at the event by Marcello Sant'Anna, Diving Coordinator; André Campos, Diving Superintendent; Felipe Guimarães, IMCA Diving Coordinator; Mariana Belizário, Operational Management Analyst; and Raphael Vargas, Diving Superintendent, who also led a presentation on the challenges of the qualification process and the results achieved by Brazilian professionals.
An instructor across all companies involved in the training process, Vargas highlights the personal and professional significance of the achievement: "Contributing to the training of around 90% of diving supervisors in Brazil, with results above the global average, is a source of great pride."
For the superintendent, the recognition also reinforces the company's positioning in the sector: "This recognition represents an important milestone for professional diving in Brazil and reinforces Belov's commitment to safety, technical qualification, and the continuous evolution of operations."
The Belov Group continues to invest in training new professionals and consolidating international safety and quality standards in Brazilian professional diving.
