Belov Group and SAAM Towage formalized the construction of four vessels during the 20th edition of Navalshore, in Rio de Janeiro, this Wednesday, August 19, 2026. The largest maritime industry trade show in Latin America takes place at ExpoRio Cidade Nova, running from Tuesday (18th) through Thursday (20th), from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
The Belov Shipyard will build four azimuth stern drive (ASD) tugboats for maritime and port support, featuring a 70-ton bollard pull to meet the operational demands of SAAM Towage Brazil. Combining robustness, high performance, and efficiency, the new tugboats will feature dedicated safety and functionality resources, such as external firefighting capability, FiFi 1 certification, and an optimized bridge design that allows for greater visibility during operations.
The ceremony took place at the Belov booth (B-07, ground floor pavilion) and was attended by representatives and directors from both companies, as well as commercial partners, suppliers, general event attendees, and the press. The event highlighted a strategic partnership between Belov Group and SAAM Towage Brazil, built on technical excellence and investments in innovation. In June, the operator—a benchmark in providing world-class harbor towage services—visited the expansion and modernization process of the Belov Shipyard, located in Aratu Bay.
