The expansion works at the Belov Shipyard, located in Simões Filho, in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador/BA, are in an advanced stage, with the completion of the first phase projected for 2026.
The initiative is part of the company's strategic expansion plan and could generate more than 2,500 direct and indirect jobs to support the expansion of the shipyard's operations. The project includes:
- The expansion of the built industrial area from 12,000 m² to 16,000 m²
- The construction of new administrative buildings
- The construction of production warehouses
- The modernization and automation of the manufacturing plant, increasing production capacity from the current 5,500 tons per year to more than 11,000 tons annually
- The implementation of construction systems that reduce waste generation
- Continuous improvements in environmental practices already adopted
- The expansion of solar energy generation capacity
According to director Sergio Belov, the investment represents a milestone in the company's history: "This project reflects the future vision of the Belov Group. We are consistently investing in technology, safety, and sustainability to expand our production capacity and meet the demands of the naval and offshore markets with even greater excellence, while also contributing to the economic and social development of Bahia."
