This Monday (10th), the Belov Group participated in the IMCA (International Marine Contractors Association) South America Regional Meeting, held at the Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana Hotel. The company presented the lecture "Belov's Path Through Membership," delivered by Diving Coordinator Felipe Guimarães.
IMCA regional meetings gather members to discuss industry issues, trends, and developments, explore updates from the association’s technical teams, and provide a premier networking environment for professionals across the maritime sector.
Felipe Guimarães highlighted that achieving membership was the result of two years of intense teamwork and dedication. This period was marked by overcoming challenges such as strengthening the Diving Safety Management System at Belov Group in alignment with IMCA best practices.
According to Guimarães: "Thanks to investments in personnel training and diving system enhancements, we conducted audits, implemented new processes, and adapted procedures to drive improvements based on feedback from employees—especially those on the front line: Supervisors, Dive Techs, and Offshore Divers."
The event was attended by Belov Group Director Juracy Gesteira Vilas-Bôas and Diving Manager Olímpio Cardoso, accompanied by a diving team delegation including Mariana Baraldi, André Campos, Marcelo Sant'Anna, and Raphael Vargas.
Together, they represented the company's 36 IMCA-certified diving supervisors, who currently form the largest certified team in Brazil.
