For nearly four decades, the Brazilian Post Office (Correios do Brasil) has promoted the country's largest Christmas gift collection and donation drive: “Papai Noel dos Correios” (Post Office Santa). The initiative encourages children of various ages—from schools, daycare centers, community groups, and institutions nationwide—to write letters requesting a gift, which are then fulfilled through the generosity of the general public.
The initiative began as a playful way to encourage children to write to Santa Claus and to keep hope alive for a better world. These wishes are turned into reality by "godparents," including employees from various companies across Brazil. Inspired by this mission, Belov Group employees have once again embraced the campaign, fulfilling over 300 gift requests.
On the volunteer side, the campaign unites people from different locations and companies through solidarity and collective action. For the children, it fosters an interest in writing and stimulates cognitive and emotional skills. Moved by the letters and their simple requests, Belov Group employees bolstered the initiative by concentrating donations at the Guapimirim/RJ base (offshore services support) and the Salvador/BA headquarters.
Campaign coordinators in Rio de Janeiro and Bahia collected the gifts in early December, organizing the logistics to distribute them to the children whose letters were adopted by the Belov Group team.
