SP Climate Week is taking place from August 2 to 8, 2025, in São Paulo, at various locations across the city. The Belov Group was invited by the event's co-organizer, Ecogest – Projetos e Inovações, on Wednesday morning (the 6th), to participate in the "Sustainable Journey in Practice" panel.
The movement was inspired by the London and New York climate weeks and aims to promote a special program on urban climate solutions. This year's edition brought together over 10,000 participants, with events at hubs such as Getúlio Vargas Foundation, Green Sampa, and Sabesp.
Among the more than 100 free activities focused on addressing the climate crisis in major urban centers, the "Sustainable Journey in Practice" panel was held, led by Ecogest. The session was designed to show how to structure an efficient and continuously improving sustainable journey through real-life case studies, such as that of the Belov Group.
Aline Vargas, Onshore Integrated Management System and Environment Coordinator for the Belov Group in Rio de Janeiro, highlighted the challenges of starting a project with the purpose of integrating initiatives and teams from different company segments and states, certifications, green seals, dialogue with clients, employees, and communities, and perspectives for strengthening and developing good practices and knowledge.
The panel also sought to demystify the GHG inventory verification process and show how to connect decarbonization, ESG management, and socio-environmental responsibility. Activities are taking place this Friday, August 8, and the entire program can be viewed at https://www.spclimateweek.com.br.
