The delivery of food baskets and cleaning and personal hygiene items, part of Grupo Belov's results monitoring project, took place this Thursday (31). The initiative, which corresponds to the first half of 2025, benefited a nursing home and a community daycare center. The action, organized by the Integrated Management System, converts customer feedback into donations for NGOs.
The first visit was to Casa de Repouso Monte Alverne, a nursing home for elderly women located in Candeal, Salvador-BA, which has been operating for over 50 years. The home has 45 beds for elderly women who have a companion, and currently has rooms available for rent. The residents enjoy group activities and meals, and are accompanied daily by nursing technicians who are part of the 13-person staff. The shelter accepts various types of donations, organizes events and bazaars to raise funds, and is in the process of re-registering as a philanthropic institution, which will guarantee tax exemptions and more breathing room for its sustainability.
The second visit was to the Cantinho Encantado community daycare in Fazenda Grande III. It has been in operation since 1996 and serves 140 children, from the nursery to group 5. To support this number, the institution receives help from the municipal government, the community itself, and volunteers. It is open to donations of food, hygiene and cleaning supplies, toys, books, and for its infrastructure, in order to better serve the students. Children who complete the learning cycle are referred to municipal public schools or neighborhood schools.
A new donation is scheduled to take place in Simões Filho-BA in the coming weeks.
