Petrobras' Hands Free League (Cycle Nov/2024 to May/2025) awarded Belov Group 6th place. The "Belovianos" team participated in the initiative created to promote and strengthen the safety culture, with a special focus on protecting hands, one of the body parts most exposed to risks in our daily operational activities.
The Petrobras program recognizes and values innovative projects aimed at workplace safety, with an emphasis on reducing hand and finger exposure to operational risks. Belov Group's participation in programs focused on accident prevention and promoting safer work environments reinforces its commitment to safety and the development of an organizational culture where respect for life always comes first.
One example from Belov Group is the anti-crushing protection installed on ship doors. The system enhances crew safety by preventing fingers or other body parts from getting caught in door gaps, acting as a physical barrier that slows automatic closure, providing a reaction margin in case of obstruction. Vessel movement increases the risk of accidents during door opening or closing, which is why this is essential protection for a safer work environment and in compliance with maritime safety standards.
The award is recognition of the collective commitment to safety and the continuous construction of a safer and more responsible work environment, especially the active work of the Health, Environment, and Safety (HES) teams, who led the development and implementation of the program, and the operational teams, who dedicated themselves to suggesting improvements, adopting new practices, and transforming hand care into a true daily value.
