The collection of oceanographic and meteorological data is performed through ADCP's (Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler), Ondographs, CTD's (Conductivity, Temperature and Depth) and Automatic Weather Stations.
Areas of practice:
- Current: Monitoring the speed (magnitude) and direction of the currents through ADCPs attached to a small, medium and large vessel.
- Waves: Monitoring the height and direction of waves through Ondographs or attached ADCPs.
- Physico-chemical parameters of sea water: Salinity, temperature, conductivity and turbidity, through CTD.
- Meteorological data: Wind, air temperature, atmospheric pressure and relative humidity.
