Location of Buried Ducts

The survey made with a pipe detector is able to identify the presence of buried metal pipes, showing their position, depth and sedimentary thickness. The application of this technique makes it possible to detect the existence of installations quickly, safely and at low cost, as it avoids the need for manual probing and excavations, which require more time, equipment and labor.  In addition, its use reduces the risk of accidents because there is no mechanical contact with the facilities for their discovery.

Methods used:

  • PCM – Pipeline Current Mapper
  • GPR – Ground Profiling Radar
  • Electromagnetic Detectors (Radiodetection RD8100)
